CFI Sid Solow Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to deserving students who want to pursue a career in the field of moving image archiving. Focus: Library and archival sciences; Museum science. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled full time in a graduate-level or other advanced program in moving image studies or production, library or information services, archival administration, museum studies or a related discipline; must have a GPA of at least 3.0 in his/her current or most recently completed academic program. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on the scholarship application criteria.

Funds Avail.: $4,000. To Apply: Applicant must complete the application form available online; must have the official transcript from the applicant's most recent academic program; must provide an essay of no more than 1,000 words describing applicant's major field of study, interest in moving image archiving, relevant experience and/or education, and career goals; must submit two letters of recommendation. Deadline: May 15.

Rick Chace Foundation Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to deserving students who want to pursue a career in the field of moving image archiving. Focus: Library and archival sciences; Museum science. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled full-time in a graduate-level or other advanced program in moving image studies or production, library or information services, archival administration, museum studies or a related discipline; must be accepted into such a program for the next academic year; must have a GPA of at least 3.0; must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the moving image archival field; must be at least 21 years of age and must possess a valid driver's license; must be a US citizen or have a US work visa. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on the following criteria: (1) Commitment to pursuing a career in moving image archiving; (2) Academic record; (3) Program of study as it applies to moving image archiving.

Funds Avail.: $4,000. To Apply: Applicant must complete the application form, available online; must submit an official transcript from the applicant's current or most recently completed academic program; must have an essay of no more than 1,000 words describing the applicant's interest and involvement in moving image archiving; must have two letters of recommendation.
