ASWA 2-Year College Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to students attending Community, State or 2-year Colleges in accounting or finance degree. Focus: Accounting; Finance. Qualif.: Applicants must be community college students entering their second year of an Associates Degree Program who have completed 15 semester hours or equivalent; must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; and must be majoring in accounting or finance. Criteria: Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of leadership, character and communication skills, scholastic average and financial need.

Funds Avail.: Scholarship amount not specified. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; seventy-five word essay about the his/her goals and objectives, what impact he/she wants to have on the accounting world and most likes about accounting; three references (two references must be from accounting faculty); and a copy and the original Academic Transcript from school. Deadline: April.
