Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute Engineering/Geology Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial aid to junior and senior year students who are career-pathed in mining related industries. Focus: Engineering, Geological; Engineering. Qualif.: Applicant must be a full-time college sophomore or junior at the time of selection; both a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of one of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute member states Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming; pursuing a degree in a mining-related field or in the engineering disciplines; interested in coal as a career path. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the scholarship committee's review of the application materials.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. Number Awarded: 1 candidate from each state. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form that can be downloaded from www.rmcmi-.org. Deadline: February 1.

Purpose: To students in technical programs who would like to pursue their education in the coal industry. Focus: Education, Vocational-technical; Trades training Qualif.: Applicant must be a first-year student at a two-year Technical/Trade School in a good standing at the time of selection; both a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of one of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute member states - Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming; studying an applicable trade; interested in coal as a career path. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the scholarship committee's review of the application materials.
