Rocky 5
Rocky 5 ★★ 1990 (PG)
Brain damaged and broke, Rocky finds himself back where he started on the streets of Philadelphia. Boxing still very much in his blood, Rocky takes in a protege, training him in the style that made him a champ (take a lickin' and keep on tickin'). However an unscrupulous promoter has designs on the young fighter and seeks to wrest the lad from under the former champ's wing. This eventually leads to a showdown between Rocky and the young boxer in a brutal streetfight. Supposedly the last “Rocky” film, it's clear the formula has run dry. 105m/C VHS, DVD . Sylvester Stallone, Talia Shire, Burt Young, Sage Stallone, Tom Morrison, Burgess Meredith; D: John G. Avildsen; W: Sylvester Stallone; C: Steven Poster; M: Bill Conti.
