Reckitt Benckiser Student Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance to Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Student to allow for attendance at the NAPNAP Annual Meeting. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be NAPNAP member, registered nurse and a graduate student who has completed at least 1 semester of graduate studies in a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program; enrolled in a recognized program of study (associated with an academic institution authorized to award a master’s degree or DNP in nursing), leading to completion of qualifications for education and practice as a PNP (a program defined as one which primarily prepares an individual to deliver child health care services, either in primary care, specialty care or acute care settings). Criteria: Recipient will be selected by the NAPNAP Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Funds Avail.: $1,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit original plus four copies (total 5) of the completed application with all the support documents. Deadline: March 15.
Elaine Gelman Scholarship Award (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support the education of a nurse practitioner student who demonstrating the ability to articulate and follow through an innovative solution through clinical competence, academic achievement and involvement in political activism relating to a pediatric health care issue. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a full or part time NP student enrolled in an accredited NP program with an expected graduation date of two years or less. Criteria: Applicants will be judged based on clinical competence, academic achievement and involvement in political activism relating to health care issues.
Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit completed Elaine Gelman Scholaship Award Application Form; personal statement (200 words or less) describing why the individual is competing for this award and specifically what goals would be accomplished if he/she receives the award; two letters of reference from a faculty member and professional colleague. Deadline: June 30.
NAPNAP McNeil Annual Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance to students enrolled in pediatric nurse practitioner programs. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a registered nursing student who has completed at least 2 semesters or quarters as defined by the university; enrolled at a recognized PNP program; and have no previous formal pediatric nurse practitioner education. Criteria: Applicants will be judged based on academic performance and financial need status.
Funds Avail.: $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit five copies of the application and accompanying needed materials to the NAPNAP Foundation. Deadline: April 30.
NAPNAP McNeil Rural and Underserved Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial support to PNP students who plan on practicing in a rural or underserved geographical
region for the first two years after he/she completes their PNP education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be planning on practicing in a rural or undeserved geographical region for the first two years after PNP education completed; registered nurse who has completed at least 2 semesters or quarters as defined by the university; enrolled at recognized Master’s degree program; has no previous formal pediatric nurse practitioner education; and demonstrated financial need. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on academic performance and financial status.
Funds Avail.: $37,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit five copies of the application and needed materials to NAP-NAP Foundation. Deadline: June 15.
