Goodfellow Nursing Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support nursing students to complete their studies and to assist the future staffing needs of nursing professionals in Lloydminster. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be an individual studying Nursing at a Canadian recognized university or post-secondary institution; must be willing to work in Lloydminster at a facility or program run by the Prairie North Health Region; must be a permanent resident in the Lloydminster region; must have good academic ability; must demonstrate community leadership and volunteering. Criteria: Scholarship is awarded through a selection committee appointed by the Board of Directors.
Funds Avail.: $2,000. Number Awarded: 5. To Apply: Applicant must submit a letter of reference from an accredited instructor together with the application form to Lloydminster Region Health Foundation, 3820-43 Ave., Lloydminster, SK S9V 1Y5. Deadline: July 31.
Remarks: Scholarship was established in memory of Miss Kitty Goodfellow, a long-time resident of Lloydminster.
Goodfellow Professional Development Fund (Professional Development/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support continuing education to advance job knowledge, skills and qualification by funding a major course of study. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a nursing full-time or permanent part-time staff member employed at Lloydminster Hospital or an affiliated program. Criteria: Scholarship is awarded through a selection committee made up of one member of the Board of Directors and up to four nurses. Priority will be given to employees that demonstrate a definite course of study.
Funds Avail.: $10,000. To Apply: Applicant must submit a letter of reference from an accredited instructor together with the application form to Lloydminster Region Health Foundation, 3820-43 Ave., Lloydminster, SK S9V 1Y5. Deadline: July 31.

George Phillips Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistant to qualified individuals who want to pursue their education. Focus: Health care services. Qualif.: Applicant must be an individual studying full-time in a healthcare field at an accredited college or university; must demonstrate commitment and
dedication to his/her work/education; must be a permanent resident in the Llyodminster area; must have good academic ability Criteria: Priority will be given to healthcare professionals that will benefit the hospital and healthcare providers within the region and to students in the second half of their program.
Funds Avail.: $1,000. Number Awarded: 1. To Apply: Applicant must submit a letter of reference from an accredited instructor together with the application form to Lloydminster Region Health Foundation, 3820-43 Ave., Lloydminster, SK S9V 1Y5. Deadline: July 31.
Remarks: Scholarship was created to honor George's remarkable leadership, loyalty, and forward-thinking contributions while serving on the Board of Directors.
Pat Redden Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support nursing students to complete their studies and to assist in meeting future staffing needs of Lloydminster. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Nursing student at a Canadian recognized university or post-secondary institution; must be enrolled and have successfully completed 50% of a minimum two-year fully-accredited program in nursing leading to a RN designation. Applicant must be a permanent resident in the Lloydminster region; must have good academic ability; must demonstrate community leadership and volunteering. Criteria: Priority will be given to students willing to work in Lloydminster at a facility or program run by Prairie North Health Region.
Funds Avail.: $5,000. To Apply: Applicant must submit a letter of reference from an accredited instructor together with the application to Lloydminster Region Health Foundation, 3820-43 Ave., Lloydminster, SK S9V 1Y5. Deadline: July 31.
Remarks: Pat Redden was a pillar for both Hillmond and Lloydminster communities and served for many years as a registered nurse at the Lloydminster Hospital.

Purpose: To provide financial assistant to qualified individual who wants to pursue their education. Focus: Health care services. Qualif.: Applicant must be an individual studying full-time in a healthcare field at an accredited college or university; must demonstrate commitment and dedication to his/her work/education; must be a permanent resident in the Llyodminster area; must have good academic ability Criteria: Priority will be given to healthcare occupations that will benefit the hospital and healthcare providers within the region and to students in the second half of their program.
