PERSONAL: Born c. 1923, in Poland; immigrated to the United States as a child; died of cancer, August 11, 2000, in Northridge, CA; married; wife's name, Judy; children: Joshua, Stephanie Rosen Rimbach, Rachel.
Education: City College (now of the City University of New York), graduated.
CAREER: Writer. Worked as junior high school English teacher in Bronx, NY, prior to 1958. Military service: U.S. Army Air Forces, navigator during World War II; served in European theater; received five Air Medals.
AWARDS, HONORS: Shared (with Robert Foster) Edgar Allan Poe Award nomination, Mystery Writers of America, 1976, for "Murder Comes in Little Pills."
