Husain Kassim once told CA that his primary motivation for writing is "to bring out the issues and clarify them on the basis of scholarship." Influences on his writing include, "the crisis in the Middle East and the wrongful reaction on the part of the West." He attributed his inspiration for writing to "human concern."
