American psychologist. Utah State University, PhD; m. Dietland Muller-Schwarze.

Studied penguin behavior in Antarctica (beginning 1969) as 1st woman to work with US Antarctic Research Program; with husband, surveyed 24 rookeries on the peninsula and 26 additional rookeries on Antarctic islands. Mapmakers of US government named an island near Palmer Station after her.
