WHAT ARE RADIOISOTOPES?

Atoms of an element that have the same atomic number but a different atomic weight are referred to as isotopes. Radioisotopes are unstable isotopes that spontaneously decay into a different atom, releasing energy. This radioactive decay energy can be converted into electrical energy.
