Bodhipākṣika-dharma

Bodhipākṣika-dharma (Pāli, bodhipakkhiyadhamma, ‘things pertaining to enlightenment’). In Buddhism, the thirty-seven necessities for the attainment of enlightenment. They are divided into seven groups: (i) the four foundations of right attention (satipaṭṭhāna); (ii) the four perfect efforts (sammā-padhāna); (iii) the four components of concentrated power (iddhi-pāda); (iv) the five roots (indriya); (v) the five powers (bala); (vi) the seven contributions to enlightenment (bojjhanga); (vii) the Eightfold Path (aṣṭangika-mārga).
