Iddhi-pāda

Iddhi-pāda (Pāli, ‘ways of power’; Skt., ṛddhipāda). In Buddhism, the four components of concentrated power which result in supernatural powers (iddhi), and bring about samādhi (absorption in the object of contemplation): (i) intention (canda); (ii) will (virya); (iii) mind (cit); (iv) audacity in inquiry (mīmāṃsā).
