Full name, Francis Ernest von Zerneck; born November 3, 1940, in New York, NY; son of Peter (an actor) and Beatrice (an agent; maiden name, Francis) von Zerneck; married Julie Hawthorne Mannix (a writer and bookstore owner and operator), January 15, 1965; children: Danielle (a producer, actress, and bookstore operator),Francis (Frank), Jr. (a director, writer, actor, and bookstore operator).
