Surname is sometimes transliterated "Serbedgia" or "Serbedjija"; born July 27, 1946, in Bunic kraj Korenice, Yugoslavia (now Croatia); married Ivanka Cerovac (divorced, 1987); married Lenka Udovicki (a director), June 30, 1991; children: Lucija (an actress), Danilo, Nina, Milica Alma, Vanja.
