Born August 1, 1937, in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England; son of Walter Alexander and Ena Mary (maiden name, Robinson) Hogg; married Thea Bean. Education: Trained for the stage at Drama Centre, London, 1961–64; also studied at the School of Speech and Drama. Avocational Interests: Riding, goat keeping, reading.
