NFID Advanced Vaccinology Course Travel Grants (Postdoctorate/Grant)
Purpose: To support researches dedicated to the study of infectious diseases. Focus: Medical Research. Qualif.: Applicant must be a recent postdoctoral graduate with a demonstrated interest in a career in vaccinology; must be a citizen and resident of the United States at the time of the course; must be conducting research or working in a recognized and accredited US institution of higher learning or in a governmental agency. Criteria: Priority is given to applicants with demonstrated financial need.
Funds Avail.: 4,000. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Application package must include a letter from the applicant (not exceeding two pages) stating the applicant’s long term interest in vaccinology, proposed research or work in vaccinology for the next 2-3 years, location of the proposed research or work and department or division chairman, and financial need; a letter of support from the department or division chairman (not exceeding one page) reiterating the applicant’s research or work in vaccinology; applicant’s curriculum vitae; and a copy of the applicant’s application to the advanced vaccinology course.
