Kyutaro & Yasuo Abiko Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for qualified individuals. Focus: Journalism; Agricultural economics. Qualif.: Applicant must be an active National JACL member at either an individual or student/youth level; must be planning to attend full-time at a college, university, trade school, business school, or any other institution of higher learning within the United States at the undergraduate or graduate school level. Entering freshman applicant must be a high school senior. Criteria: Preference will be given to a student studying journalism or agriculture.

Funds Avail.: $60,000. To Apply: Application forms are available online at www.jacl.org/join.html. Deadline: March 1 (entering freshman) and April 1 (all applications excluding entering freshman).

Alice Yuriko Endo Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for qualified individuals. Focus: Public service. Qualif.: Applicant must be an active National JACL member at either an individual or student/youth level; must be planning to attend full-time at a college, university, trade school, business school, or any other institution of higher learning within the United States at the undergraduate or graduate school level. Entering freshman applicant must be a high school senior. Criteria: Preference for this scholarship will be given to a student residing in the Eastern District Council and/or a student with an interest in public and social service.

Qualif.: Applicants must be active National JACL members at either an individual or student/youth level; must be planning to attend full-time at a college, university, trade school, business school, or any other institution of higher learning within the United States at the undergraduate or graduate school level. Entering freshman applicant must be a high school senior. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on their application requirements.

Qualif.: Applicant must be an active National JACL member at either an individual or Student/Youth level; must be planning to attend full-time at a college, university, trade school, business school, or any other institution of higher learning within the United States at the undergraduate or graduate school level. Entering freshman applicants must be a high school senior. Criteria: Preference for this scholarship will be given to a student with an interest in public speaking or debate.

Entering freshman applicant must be a high school senior. Criteria: Preference will be given to students with a strong interest in human rights and civil rights.
