Ford Motor Company Scholarship Program (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist graduating high school seniors of Hispanic heritage obtain a bachelor’s degree. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be of Hispanic heritage; U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551; graduating from high school in 2008; have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent; enrolling full-time in a degree-seeking program at a four-year U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam; must apply for federal financing aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.faf-sa.ed.gov. Criteria: Applicants who participated in the Ford PAS program will be given preference.

The Gates Millennium Scholars (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding students with significant financial need to reach their fullest potential. Focus: Mathematics and mathematical sciences; Science; Engineering; Education; Public health; Library and archival sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian pacific Islander American and Hispanic American heritage; a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident; have a minimum 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale; must demonstrate leadership skills; must demonstrate financial need. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on the merits of the application.
Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must complete all three required forms available at the award site www.gmsp.org. American Indian/Alaska Natives must submit proof of tribal enrollment or a certificate of descent if selected as finalists. Deadline: December 31 (paper applications), January 11 (online applications).

Purpose: For sophomore students who will be transferring to a four-year college. Focus: Accounting; Actuarial science; Advertising; Public relations; Business; Engineering, Computer; Computer and information sciences; Economics; Finance; International trade; Marketing and distribution; Management. Qualif.: Applicant must be of Hispanic heritage; U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551; be a current sophomore or community college student transferring to a four-year college/university and will be a junior status for the upcoming academic year; be enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam; have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 4.00 on a 5.00 scale; must be majoring in one of the following: Accounting, Actuarial Science, Advertising, Public Relations, Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Computer Science, Economics, Finance, International Business, Marketing or Management; must submit a resume; have applied for Federal Financial Aid; must be a resident of: Los Angeles, CA (LA, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura); Monterey/Salinas, CA (Salinas); San Diego, CA (San Diego); Tampa, FL (Her-nando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinella); Jacksonville, FL (Nassau, Duval, Clay, St. Johns); Chicago, IL (Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Will, McHenry); New York, NY (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond); Las Vegas, NV (Clark); Phoenix, AZ (Phoenix-Mesa); Wilmington, DC (New Castle); Bridgewater, NJ (Sussex); or Chesapeake, VA. Purpose: To provide financial assistance for Hispanic junior and senior students. Focus: Business administration; Economics; Finance. Qualif.: Applicant must be of Hispanic heritage; U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551; a sophomore enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited college/university in the U.S. (must be enrolled as junior in the following academic year); be pursuing a Business Administration, Economics or Finance degree; have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent; must be a resident or attending college in: New York City metropolitan area; Miami/Fort Lauderdale area; Tampa, Florida; Dallas, Texas; Austin, Texas; Los Angeles, California; San Francisco Bay Area, California. Purpose: To provide financial resources to outstanding Latinos pursuing degrees in engineering and business. Focus: Electrical engineering; Engineering, Industrial; Manufacturing; Mechanical engineering; Accounting; Business administration; Economics; Finance; Personnel administration/human resources. Qualif.: Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage; U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551; enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at any four-year U.S. accredited institution in the
U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam; have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent; pursue degrees in Engineering, Business or Human Resources; must apply for federal financing aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. For semi-finalists, applicants must complete the GM Online Assessment. Criteria: Applicants who best meet the requirements will be given preference.

HSF/Hewlett Packard (HP) Diversity in Education Scholarship Program (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance to minority students. Focus: Computer and information sciences; Engineering, Computer; Engineering, Electrical. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors enrolling as a fulltime first-year student or a community college student transferring into University of California, Los Angeles, North Carolina AT&T, Morgan State University or University of Washington; plan to major in computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering; must be African American, Latino or American Indian; be able to legally work full time in the United States at the time of application. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated based on academic achievement, financial need, family’s educational history, letters of recommendation, personal statement, demonstrated academic achievement and interest in math, science and engineering, connections to HP philanthropy partnerships, intended major and willingness to work in major HP locations.

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to creative arts-related undergraduate and graduate students beginning or completing an art project. Focus: Art; Media arts; Broadcasting; Filmmaking; Performing arts; Communications; Writing. Qualif.: Applicant must be of Hispanic heritage; U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551; enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands in the upcoming academic year; pursuing a major in Arts, including but not limited to media, film, performing arts, communications or writing; have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale; must apply for federal financing aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Purpose: To provide financial assistance to college students of Hispanic heritage. Focus: Accounting; Business; Economics; Finance; Personnel administration/human resources; Marketing and distribution; Engineering, Computer; Information science and technology; Computer and information sciences; Civil engineering; Electrical engineering; Engineering, Industrial; Engineering, Mechanical. Qualif.: Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage; U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551; a sophomore enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited college/university in the U.S. (must be enrolled as a junior in the following academic year); pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or IT, including CIS, MIS and Computer Engineering; have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent; must apply for Federal Financing Aid. Criteria: Priority will be given to students from the following universities: Arizona State University, California State University - Fresno, California State
University - Fullerton, California State University - San Francisco, Columbia University, Iowa State University, San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, Stanford University, Texas A&M University, University of Arizona, University of California - Berkeley, University of California -Davis, University of California - Los Angeles, University of California - San Diego, University of Minnesota, University of Southern California, University of Texas at Austin, University of Washington.
