Description:

Independent Free Methodist, comprehensive, coed. Awards bachelor's and master's degrees. Founded 1892. Setting: 12-acre small town campus with easy access to St. Louis. Endowment: $13.7 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $4279 per student. Total enrollment: 1,305. Faculty: 133 (60 full-time, 73 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 14:1. 852 applied, 69% were admitted. 22% from top 10% of their high school class, 48% from top quarter, 76% from top half. 2 National Merit Scholars, 13 valedictorians. Full-time: 1,118 students, 52% women, 48% men. Part-time: 52 students, 48% women, 52% men. Students come from 39 states and territories, 15 other countries, 29% from out-of-state, 1% Native American, 2% Hispanic, 7% black, 1% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 2% international, 24% 25 or older, 62% live on campus, 12% transferred in.
