Born March 26, 1921; died December 20, 2001; son of Arthur Beresford Horsley; married Phyllis Conrad Phinney, 1943 (marriage ended, 1976); married Ann MacKinnon Crwys-Williams, 1976; children: (first marriage) one son, one daughter; (second marriage) two stepsons, two stepdaughters. Education: Attended private secondary school. Hobbies and other interests: Skiing, stamp collecting.

CAREER:

Equerry to Princess Elizabeth (now Queen Elizabeth II) and duke of Edinburgh, 1949-52; equerry to the queen, 1952-53, and to the duke of Edinburgh, 1953-56; Royal Air Force, deputy commandant of Joint Warfare Establishment at Old Sarum, England, 1966-68, assistant chief of air staff for operations, 1968-70, assistant officer in charge of bomber group, 1971-73, deputy commander in charge of Strike Command, 1973-75, also served in Cyprus, retiring in 1975 as air marshal. Robson Lowe (stamp auction house), chair; Stanley Gibbons, managing director.
