CAREER: Worked for museums of the Buffalo Historical Society and Turtle (Iroquois cultural center), Niagara Falls, NY, in 1970s; Department of Northern Affairs, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, manager of Indian art collections and exhibitions, 1982-85; Institute of American Indian Arts Museum, Santa Fe, NM, director and exhibition curator, 1990-94. Painter, carver, photographer, and basket weaver. Consultant to National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution. Also employed as iron and construction worker in the 1960s. Exhibitions: Represented in solo and group shows, including exhibitions at Natural History Museum of the Smithsonian Institution, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Via Gambaro Gallery, both Washington, DC, American Indian Art Gallery, New York, NY, and American Indian Contemporary Arts, San Francisco, CA; work represented in many collections, including those of the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Indian Arts and Crafts Board of U.S. Department of the Interior, International Center of Photography, New York, NY, Seneca-Iroquois National Museum, and Woodland Indian Cultural Education Centre.
