Thórarinsson, Leifur

Thórarinsson, Leifur, Icelandic composer; b. Reykjavik, Aug. 13, 1934; d. there, April 24, 1998. He was a student of Jón Thoórarinsson at the Reykjavik Coll. of Music, of Jelinek in Vienna (1954), and of Riegger and Schuller in N.Y. In addition to composing, he was active as a music critic.
