Seagle, Oscar

Seagle, Oscar , American baritone and singing teacher; b. Chattanooga, Term., Oct. 31, 1877; d. Dallas, Dec. 19, 1945. He sang in concerts in the U.S. from 1896 until 1905, then went to Paris for further study with Jean de Reszke. He made his Paris debut in 1907, and also sang in England. He returned to America at the outbreak of World War I in 1914, and settled in N.Y. as a singing teacher.
