Schönberg, Stig Gustav

Schönberg, Stig Gustav, Swedish organist and composer; b. Vastra Husby, May 13, 1933. He studied at the Stockholm Musikhögskolan (1953–60), where he graduated with diplomas as a music teacher, organist, and choirmaster. His composition mentors were Larsson and Blomdahl, and he also studied theory with Erland von Koch and Valdemar Söderholm. He received training in organ with Flors Peeters in Belgium. He was active as a church organist and toured as a recitalist.
