Piroye, Charles
Piroye, Charles, French organist, harpsichordist, and composer; b. probably in Paris, c. 1670; d. probably there, after 1717. He was a student of Lully and Lambert, and then an organist of the Jacobins (1690–1712) and at St. Honoré (1708–17) in Paris. He subsequently taught harpsichord.
