Picchi, Silvano

Picchi, Silvano, Argentine composer; b. Pisa, Italy, Jan. 15, 1922. His family emigrated to Argentina while he was a child. He studied composition with Constantino Gaito, Alberto Ginastera, Arturo Luzzatti, Guardo Guardi, and Floro Ugarte in Buenos Aires. He was the music critic of La Prensa in Buenos Aires.
