Lie-Nissen (originally, Lie), Erika
Lie-Nissen(originally, Lie), Erika, Norwegian pianist; b. Kongsvinger, Jan. 17, 1845; d. Christiania, Oct. 27, 1903. She studied with Kjerulf in Christiania, T. Kullak in Berlin, and Tellefsen in Paris, then taught at Kullak’s Academy in Berlin. She toured throughout Europe, becoming noted for her performances of Chopin. She was prof. of piano at the Copenhagen Cons. (1870–74), then married Dr. Oscar Nissen and settled in Christiania.
