Kocsár, Miklós
Kocsár, Miklós, Hungarian composer; b. Debrecen, Dec. 21, 1933. He studied with Farkas at the Budapest Academy of Music (1954–59). He taught at the Běla Bartók Cons, in Budapest (from 1972), and was also on the staff of the music dept. of the Hungarian Radio (from 1974), serving as its deputy head (from 1983). He won the Erkel Prize in 1973 and again in 1980. In 1987 he was made a Merited Artist by the Hungarian government.
