Holland, Dukie (Sybil)
Holland, Dukie (Sybil), Australian pianist and composer; b. Sydney, Jan. 5, 1913. She studied at the Sydney Cons, with Alfred Hill, Frank Hutchens, and Roy Agnew. She then went to London, where she took courses with John Ireland at the Royal Coll. of Music. Returning to Australia, she was active as a pianist and composer. Among her works were a Symphony for Pleasure (1974), some theater music, and songs for children. She also publ, several school manuals.
