Gerarde, Derick
Gerarde, Derick, Flemish composer who flourished from 1540 to 1580. He settled in England and was in the service of the Earl of Arundel in Nonesuch, Surrey. His distinguished output included some 90 motets, more than 120 secular vocal pieces, and about 45 instrumental works.
