Brade, William
Brade, William, English-born German violinist and composer; b. 1560; d. Hamburg, Feb. 26, 1630. He settled in Germany about 1590, and thereafter was a court musician in various localities, including Brandenburg, Copenhagen, Bückeburg, Hamburg, Güstrow, and Berlin. He composed a number of popular collections of dances.
