Bellère (or Bellerus, properly Beellaerts), Jean
Bellère (or Bellerus, properly Beellaerts), Jean, music publisher; b. Liège, 1526; d. Antwerp, Oct. 15, 1595. He was a partner of Pierre Phalèse, fils. His son Balthasar Bellère transferred the business to Douai, and printed much music up to 1625. His catalogue of compositions, publ. from 1603 to 1605, was found by Coussemaker in the Douai library.
