Made for TV soaper based on the true story of a former nun who becomes a small town schoolteacher. After being raped, Diane Martin discovers she's pregnant and when she decides to keep the baby the school board dismisses her. The plot centers around her fight to regain her job and dignity—while trying to convince everybody that she doesn't deserve to lose her job simply because she is an unwed mother. Eikenberry gives a strong performance, but it can't carry this lackluster film. 94m/C VHS . Jill Eikenberry, Richard Masur, Joe Spano, Lew Ayres, Holly Palance; D: John Korty; M: Ira Newborn. TV
