Wood, Florence (c. 1854–1954)

English actress. Born c. 1854 in London, England; died April 17, 1954; dau. of John Wood (actor) and Matilda Wood (actress); m. Ralph R. Lumley (barrister and playwright), c. 1890.

Made London stage debut in title role of one-act play Hermine (1888); other plays include A Court Scandal, The Elixir of Youth, The Prodigal Son, The Bondman, Lady Frederick, The Crimson Alibi, The Trial of Mary Dugan and These Pretty Things.
