Wrote such plays as Edmund Kean (1903), Mr. Sheridan, The Knave of Hearts, Henry of Lancaster, In an Arab Garden, Inconstant George (from the French), Betty (with Frederick Lonsdale), Toto, The Highwaymen, The Werewolf (from the German), The Virgin of Bethulia (from the French), and Nona; contributed to, or wrote screenplays for, Music is Magic, Strange Wives, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Rendezvous at Midnight, Miss Mary Dow, Sylvia Scarlett and Daughter of Shanghai, among others.
