Tachibana, Miya (1974–)

Japanese synchronized swimmer. Born Dec 12, 1974 in Kyoto, Japan; attended Doshisha University in Kyoto.

Won a team bronze medal at Atlanta Olympics (1996) and silver medals for duet and team at Sydney Olympics (2000); at World championships, won a gold medal for duet (2001) and silver medals for team (1998, 2003) and duet (1994, 1998, 2003); placed 2nd for World Cup solo and duet in Zurich (2002); with Miho Takeda, won a silver medal for duet at Athens Olympics (2004), as well as a team silver medal.
