Poelvoorde, Rita (1951–)
Belgian ballet dancer. Born Feb 23, 1951, in Anvers, Belgium.
As a child, starred in Flemish films; performed in Jeanne Brabands' Ballet du Koninklijke Vlaamse and with Netherlands Dance Theater; joined Ballet du XXième Siècle (1971) where she created roles for Maurice Béjart's Le Marteau sans Maitre (1973) and Dichterliebe (1979); was also featured in his Romeo et Juliette, Farah, I Trionfi di Petracha, Pli Selon Pli, and others.
