Lilly, Gweneth (1920–2004)

Welsh children's writer. Born Sept 24, 1920, in Liverpool, England, of Welsh parents; died April 5, 2004.

Lecturer of education at St. Mary's College in Bangor (1946–76), had an interest in Celtic mythology; wrote Y Drudwy Dewr (The Brave Starling, 1980) and Gaeaf Y Cerrig (Winter of Stones, 1981), among many others; won Welsh Book Council award (1981, 1982).
