Kazantzaki, Galateia (1886–1962)
Greek novelist and poet. Born 1886 in Crete, Greece; died 1962; sister of Elli Alexiou (novelist); was 1st wife of Nikos Kazantzakis (writer); m. Marko Avgeri.
Works include Ridi Pagliacco (1909), Sonetta (1922), 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. (1929), The Sinful One (1931), Crucial Moments (1933), Men (1934) and Men and Supermen (1957).
