Jacobson, Ethel May (1877–1965)
New Zealand teacher, newspaper editor and manager, and journalist. Born Sept 6, 1877, at Lyttelton, New Zealand; died June 14, 1965, at Mt. Leinster, New Zealand; dau. of Charles Jacobson (newspaper editor and owner) and Margaret (Dougherty) Jacobson; Canterbury College, BA, 1900, MA, 1901.
Taught at Nelson College for Girls (1901–03); after father died, served as editor and business manager for his paper, Akaroa Mail, and Banks Peninsula Advertiser (1910–52).
