Jacobsen, Theodore

Jacobsen, Theodore (d. 1772). English architect of German descent, he worked in London, where his best-known building was the Foundling Hospital (1742–52—demolished 1928). He is remembered today for the main quadrangle, Trinity College, Dublin (1752–9).
