Howard, Kathleen (1879–1956)

Canadian-born opera singer. Born July 27, 1879, in Clifton, Ontario, Canada; died Aug 15, 1956, in Hollywood, CA.

Sang with the Metropolitan Opera (1916–28); became a fashion editor for Harper's Bazaar (1928); films include Born to be Bad, The Bride Goes Wild, and Laura; best remembered for role as W.C. Fields' wife in It's a Gift (1934) and The Man on the Flying Trapeze (1935).
