English actress, playwright and screenwriter. Born July 4, 1914, in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England; died Mar 30, 1933, in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire; m. John McCormick (producer-writer).

Began career as actress; wrote screenplay for The Clouded Yellow (1951), followed by The Good Beginning, Lost, The Long Arm, Eyewitness, Cast a Dark Shadow, The Gypsy and the Gentleman, Sapphire, Midnight Lace, Victim, Life for Ruth, and 7 Women, among others; sometimes collaborated with husband.
