Cochran, Barbara (1951–)

American Alpine skier. Born Barbara Ann Cochran, Jan 4, 1951, in Claremont, New Hampshire; dau. of Virginia and Gordon S. ("Mickey") Cochran (skier); sister of Marilyn Cochran, Linda Cochran and Robert Cochran (all skiers); attended University of Vermont.

Won a silver medal for slalom at World championships (1970); won a gold medal for slalom at Sapporo Olympics (1972); won US nationals for giant slalom (1969) and slalom (1971); at World championships, placed 2nd for slalom (1970).
