Cachat, Beth (1951–)

American dancer and choreographer. Born Feb 18, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Trained in acting and ballet; studied modern dance with Louis Falco, Merce Cunningham, Viola Farber, and others; performed in contemporary works by such choreographers as Kathryn Bernson and Martha Wiseman; created and presented numerous works in and around New York City to critical acclaim; choreographies include My Grandfather's Nose (1977), Blue (1978), Long Division (1978), Mirage (1979), Elegy (1979), Rocky Mountain Suite (1979) and Wind Chimes (1980).
