Made earliest appearances as a singer with bandmaster P.S. Gilmore; made NY stage debut in The Bride Elect (1898), followed by The Charlatan, Wang, The Baroness Fiddlesticks, The Free Lance, The Talk of New York and He Came from Milwaukee, among others.
