Berger, Andreas
Berger, Andreas, German composer; b. Dolsenhaim, near Altenburg, Saxony, 1584; d. Ulm, Jan. 10, 1656. In 1606 he became a tenor at the court chapel in Stuttgart, where from 1608 to 1612 he was court composer. From 1624 to 1634 he served as Kapellmeister to Count Ludwig Eberhard of Ôttingen. He subsequently held posts as a public official in Augsburg, Leutkirch, and Ulm. He composed both sacred and secular vocal music .
