Andreyanova, Yelena Ivanovna (1816–1857)

Russian ballet dancer. Name variations: Elena Ivanovna Andreyanova, Andrejanova or Andrianova. Born July 13, 1816, in St. Petersburg, Russia; died Oct 26, 1857, in Anteuil, France.

Began training at school of Imperial Ballet, St. Petersburg; made debut at Maryinsky Theater, St. Petersburg (1837), where she danced the company's 1st Giselle (1842); performed at Paris Opéra Ballet in France (c. 1845) and at La Scala Ballet in Italy (c. 1846); danced further feature roles in Phillipe Taglioni's Robert le Diable and Salterello.
