Frankish saint . Died Dec 24, 735; dau. of St. Dagobert II, Merovingian king of Austrasia (r. 674–678), and Matilda (Anglo-Saxon princess); sister of Saint Irmina (d. 716); m. Alberic (noble); children: one son.

Followed her sister into religious life; founded convent of Palatiolum (c. 690), not far from Trier (on site of town of Pfalzel) and became its 1st abbess; canonized as saint.
