Monoblepharidales
Monoblepharidales (class Chytridiomycetes) An order of microscopic fungi in which the thallus is filamentous and eucarpic; sexual reproduction is oogamous (see OOGAMY). Asexual reproduction involves the formation of zoospores in cylindrical or flask-shaped sporangia. Members are typically aquatic saprotrophs.
